Our mission is to facilitate an ongoing series of self-funding events that brings the community together around a shared interest or purpose. In combination we hope these events will:
help provide villagers with a sense of pride and connection to their community
be a platform for local businesses and groups
raise funds for village amenities
most importantly, be enjoyable and fun for all who attend
Our vision is to bring back the community spirit and sense of belonging through village events.
As a community group we have six official purposes, these are:
To provide inclusive events for members of the local community to take part in and be part of.
To raise the profile of the local community and activities to the residents.
To improve the quality of village life and enhance the sense of community.
To assist in providing funds by fund-raising to improve the infrastructure of the village.
To assist in raising funds to support the improvement of existing facilities in the village.
Working with other groups in the community, assist in raising funds to support the village and local projects.
Who are we?
We have 3 trustees who are responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of our community group. They ensure it operates effectively and fulfills its purposes, as outlined in our above Mission Statement.
We have 5 committee members who work alongside our members to carry out the mission of the Ringstead Community Group. These roles are include a Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, Head of Events and Marketing Executive.
Our members regularly attend our monthly meetings and events, often leading or co-leading events with our committee members.Â
We have a wider group of volunteers who support the smooth running of all our events. Their skills in raffle running, pantomime acting and even human-fruit-machine acting are second to none!
